Failure to do so may subject you to serious long term consequences . In these instances, it is critical to have an attorney to consult with and who represents only your interests. It may be as simple as a letter or a phone call to avoid trouble and prevent a situation from developing into something more serious. It may involve something more complicated and consequential. In either case it is very important to have an attorney to consult with and refer to when that need arises.
